We live in a world where we see increasing political corruption - obvious influence of the uber-wealthy on politicians who no longer represent their constituents’' interests, the divide between the wealthiest 1% and the rest of humanity is increasing, and high levels of consumerism - especially apparent in the constant need for the latest hi-tech gadget. We also see repeated banking scandals and bailouts, as well as watch the unbalanced rising and falling of the stock markets. The things that play out on the world stage are metaphors to demonstrate those things that we need to examine and heal in ourselves. Heal our own attitudes and actions, and we begin to heal the world.
If we understand that money in today’s world is representative for energy exchange or the material expression of how much we allow our soul to receive from the abundant unconditional support of the Universe, we can then examine what needs to heal in ourselves to create a greater flow of financial abundance and to move from a state of lack, of fear, of stress to a state of joy, thriving and love. Do not misunderstand, because I am not saying that those who are rich are more loved by the Universe or God. Nor am I saying that those who receive less are less blessed or less loved. The blessing is in the lesson of either experience.
Many have skewed views about money being good or evil – from this life, from past lives, from ancestral karma, and increasingly from the collective consciousness. Some have feelings of unworthiness or act in ways to diminish their value. Some see giving as good, but receiving as bad. (It’s better to give than receive.”) Some see the “misuse of money” through greed and power as a result of having money rather than the result of using money without consciousness or in violation of Universal Law.
These views create limits, limits to what an individual allows to flow to him or her. The energy of these thoughts creates vibrations of judgment that limit flow and devalue another soul and our own soul. This creates an imbalance like we see in the world played out in the news every day. In the current state of the world economy, there is an increasing difficulty for more and more as wealth is unequally dispersed. Politics and world events often reflect misuse of wealth for power and greed, which leads to further judgment.
God’s love (the Universal energy of unconditional love) is limitless. In the collective conscious construction of the human existence in the 3D world, we created money as a symbolic representation of the energy exchange of giving and receiving. When we judge or do other actions which are unloving to ourselves or to others, we limit the flow. In a sense, we place limits on what should be infinite.
Most of us can think of individual examples of people who are not open to receiving what the Universe is sending and/or living in fear of lack. An example of this would be someone who talks or thinks about not having enough money to buy what they want or need, rather than focusing on being grateful for what they actually do have. Another, perhaps more subtle, example would be someone who judges how others spend their money with judgment. For me, I used to have a really hard time watching shows like “Tree House Masters” or observing someone buying a laptop for $4,000 when they could, in my opinion, get an adequate laptop for less than $1,000, because I saw this as a waste of money when so many others in the world were lacking. What about examples of the ways we devalue ourselves and thereby limit the flow of abundance? And ways we judge others and then money itself which also limits flow.
One of the keys to opening to the flow of abundance, including financial flow, is being able to detach from the judgment. We need to learn to observe our actions and the actions of others without judgments. We need to allow those who “misuse” their financial abundance by violating Universal law (such as, those who receive without giving and/or use their money in a way that harms others – power, control, greed) or use their money with a lack of consciousness for others receive their correction from the Universe. Then we lead the change by example, by releasing ourselves from judgment when we err in the use of money and by giving without fear of lack understanding that financial flow, like all energetic flow, is about circulation.
Our job is to examine our own thoughts and behaviors which contribute to imbalance in financial flow. Again we need to be the detached observer in order to refrain from judgment. Then we need to work on changing whichever behaviors or thought patterns we observe which are limiting flow – particularly paying attention to the power of the words we think and speak.
So as so many are beginning to awaken to the need for change, it is imperative that we learn to observe what is wrong, unjust, with enough detachment to release the anger, the fear and the judgment which are all negative and limiting vibrational frequencies. This does not mean accepting the imbalance or the actions of others as right. Rather it means understanding that detachment is necessary in order to observe ourselves with compassion and unconditional love to learn how to treat ourselves with greater love. In treating ourselves with greater love, we treat others with greater love. We decrease the negativity and limitations of separation and then allow the positivity and abundance of the connectedness (of Universal love, of God) to flow at higher levels.
Give thanks for the lessons since we have incarnated to learn. Apply what you have learned to your own life and share this knowledge with others. Duality (rich/poor, light/shadow, good/bad) is always present in the whole, but the balance or imbalance regulates how many and what kinds of limitations the human mind places on understanding and receiving the abundant flow of universal love.
Find the ways in which you do not treat yourself with love, where you create or act on a belief that says you aren’t valuable enough to receive what you deserve. Make the changes that increase self-love, increase your sense of self-worth, and allow yourself to receive all that you deserve. Receive and give in balance with Universal law. Move away from living in fear of lack by focusing on what you have and giving gratitude for those blessings. Then observe the way that life changes around you. Gratitude is the vibrational antidote to fear. Reducing fear, increasing love, balancing giving with receiving, and being conscious of our relationship with money are the path to allowing the flow of abundance to enter our lives. Remember that in healing ourselves, we heal the world.
