As the dust begins to settle (albeit temporarily) from the election results on Tuesday, I am finding myself in a very different space than I imagined before the election and even immediately following the election.
Many of the people whom I really love to follow have been writing about how the energy in the world is so unstable right now and that many are finding themselves pulled into the negative part of the instability. In all honesty, I have been pulled at times into that negativity (most particularly when I am commuting to and from the office).
Yesterday, I made a conscious effort to unplug from Facebook and other social media – unplug as much as possible from the collective conscious – to allow myself the opportunity to reconnect and feel into how this piece fits into the divine plan of what many of us believe to be the unfolding of an era of greater connectedness, compassion and peace. As I did that I was often surprised by what I was shown and how much that restored my sense of hope.
Reflecting back, I can see that my subconscious self was much less surprised by the outcome than my conscious-self perceived. On the morning of Election Day, I channeled a prayer which I shared in a Facebook post which said, “Whatever the results of the election today may ….” Then around 6 pm EST, I joined with over 35,000 people in the US and around the world who participated in the “Elevate the Vote” flash mob meditation event. As part of the guided meditation, we envisioned each of the candidates in the middle of an energy fountain and sent the intention that they each be filled with humble compassion and respect for others and be elevated to the best level of service to all. Reflecting back, when they called out the name of the two main presidential candidates, I had an inner knowing of who would win. My thinking mind (ego self) was not able to acknowledge that at that moment, but my inner self / my heart-centered consciousness felt the knowing and yet received the information with great peace.
I find myself increasingly aware of a new space that seems to have opened this week. I was first aware of it at noon on Election Day when for a moment I sat in the peaceful energy that was very different than I remembered experiencing on any previous election. That awareness expanded yesterday as I watched how silent those who I know voted for the new president were at work, and as I watched the new candidate on TV appear to have a level of humbleness that almost seemed to say that no one was more surprised than he that he is now moving into this role. And this morning, I found myself “sitting” within a deep awareness of this new space.
For me it feels like a vast blank slate filled with the possibilities of creation. There is a stillness, a peace which somehow comes out of absolute balance …. a gap between darkness and light, a gap between old and new. It is a space that is vast, comforting and gleaming in blinding white light which invites us to feel into the possibilities of creation and the belief that we can co-create anew that which we feel is most lacking from the current world. For me it feels as if we are suspended between the world we’ve become so familiar with and the one into which we are about to be birthed.
It is in many ways how I imagine a soul that has chosen to incarnate feels in whatever moments in time it is suspended between the spirit world and its entry into the physical world. Within that place of suspension the soul remembers its infinite divinity and connectedness, it is aware of the limitations of physical life that it remembers from past incarnations, it is excited with the possibilities of learning and experience, and it still remembers the power to co-create that which is most needed.
In this space, all possibilities are open. Imagine that we are programmers building a new video game environment where all things are possible. We can pull in the old systems, the old fears, the violence, the disconnectedness. Or we can pull in systems and values and modes of interaction which hold greater compassion, balance, connectedness, beauty and sustainability. Or we can create any combination of worlds which contain any ratio of old and new, with all potential outcomes that those combinations create. Here is the space in which awakened souls, lightworkers and dreamers (who have perceived the end of the current age, the end of the systems which can no longer be sustained and seen the foretelling of the Golden Age that can/will emerge) can hold the space for that new world to emerge. Within this space we collectively determine how gently or violently the ages transition.
I encourage my friends and colleagues who find themselves frustrated with this week’s events and the uncertainty to consciously let go of the fear, the worry and even the anger and allow themselves to feel into this new space. Honor and allow the emotions that have been surfacing to flow through and out of you. Don’t attach to them. Unplug from the instability, the swirling space that pulls in negativity. Take time to ground, quiet the mind and BE in that very present, mindful space where you connect with the inner divinity that resides in each of us. Then in that place, reach out into this new energy space. Allow yourself to feel it and re-experience the space of absolute balance and possibility, the remembering of co-creation and infinite possibilities. Let your souls be healed and nourished in this space as often as needed. And then step into the world fully as who you incarnated to be in this lifetime.
Together we can be the midwifes and the mothers who birth all that is possible to create into the world within which we want to live.
